Tell us about the first wedding to planned
It was a wonderful wedding in my homeland of Ireland. It gave me the event planning bug. That was 15 years ago and I haven’t stopped since.
What are the essential elements for a perfect wedding tablescape?
I believe the perfect tablescape differs so much according to where it is and what it's for, but I do have my favourite staples: A linen tablecloth, a lovely linen napkin, a touch of floral, a Murano candle holder with a pretty taper candle, and a charger. Those are always my essentials.
What trends are you seeing for weddings these days?
I believe that brides are embracing their own personal style so much more. I see a lot of lovely florals and patterns and use of colour that once upon a time may not have been used for a wedding, but in today's climate anything goes! Personalisation and making things unique touchstones are also a growing trend. I love seeing monogrammed or embroidered bespoke napkins, fans, watercoloured menus, and placements that are unique and thoughtful.
Most unexpected wedding theme to-date?
I did a Dynasty themed wedding once, that was a lot of fun...
